SQUARE ENIX / Final Fantasy 14 Advertisement


Final Fantasy held an event as part of their advertisement, where 143 laptops were utilized to stream video content from the game, and the game’s soundtrack was played live.

The aim of this event was to express the connection of players in the world of online gaming through music, and the challenge was to create a piece that illustrated both the presence of individual players and the scale of synergy they created when they came together.

In order to meet the challenge, a system was created to sync all of the laptops’ displays, much like a conductor of an orchestra, and many technical systems were developed and implemented in order to link the sounds of the individual instruments with the visuals on the laptops. This all resulted in a piece where anyone could be awed by the musicality and unity within the game.
