a kinetic sculpture composed of 169 motors. Each motor rotates, representing a physical pixel to show motion graphics as a whole. installed at LUMINE Shinjuku.

demonstration of a new SONY Experia X. the cellphone has fast camera function which allows a user to take a photo within 300 milliseconds from standby mode. the installation has holes just like Whac-A-Mole. A shooting target comes up randomly. A user takes a photo of the target to experience the camera's high-precision and fast auto-focus function.

We created the world’s first interactive whisky glass by blending traditional Japanese design with innovative sensor technology. The invention of this brand new whisky glass, made of electric circuits reflecting the four seasons, is made in collaboration with traditional craftsmen and digital technologists. It represents a fusion of tradition and innovation, nature and technology, East and West. Interacting with the glass, by touching it, tilting, drinking, swirling the ice cubes creates unique seasonal experiences incorporating audio & visual effects. The glass affords people a new way of experiencing whisky with 5 senses.

A physical installation music video that showcases a contemporary dance within a toilet stall, where lights in the shape of lyrics come in through the walls with 4000 letters cut out of it.


NHK Discover Science

2015, experiment

more than 300 students participated in an experiment for a NHK TV program "Discover Science". In the experiment, each student holds a panel with LEDs. Each panel represents a 'pixel' with different combinations of red, green and blue LEDs. The result was a very low-res 'manual' video monoter composed of 300 pixels.


Final Fantasy 14, Eorzea Orchaestra

2015, installation

a huge installation built with 143 laptops. Each laptop plays iconic shots from the game scene and sound effects. As a whole, the 143 laptops play symphonic orchaestration to represent dynamics of the masstively multi-players game world.

This is an installation art in suicide forest, printing out Tweets which says “I want to die”. We corrected more than 200 thousand tweets through twitter API. Each message has a phrase "I want to die". The installation is composed of more than 40 printers. The printers print those tweets to cover the silent suicide forest. The installation is a physical representaion of unseen struggles behind the internet.


SONY 4K ActionCam

This is a demonstraion of a new SONY ActionCam capable of 4K recording. We used more than two hundred thousand sticky notes shot to represent the high-quality imagery of Sony’s 4K ActionCam. The result was a POV movie with the synchro of sounds and gimmicks.


Theater Museum Tokyo

At the theater museum located inside Waseda University in Tokyo, we have conducted an exhibition focusing on the idea of “Projection Media”. The exhibition illustrated the long history of projection media; from its begging to the modern audience-interactive projection pieces.
